Mass build failures on 'mutrino' starting 1/24/2018 after system upgrade

Created by: bartlettroscoe

Next Action Status

Modules on 'mutrino' changed in 1/23/2019 upgrade and now can't find MPI stuff. The upgrade of 'mutrino' on 1/29/2019 fixed the build failures on 'mutrino' on 1/31/2019.

Description

As shown in this query, all of the builds on 'mutino' starting experiencing mass build errors. These build errors show:

<some-trilinos-file>: catastrophic error: cannot open source file "mpi.h"
  #include <mpi.h>
                  ^

There was a system upgrade of 'mutrino' that was performed on 1/23/2018. It seems this broke everyone's builds on 'mutrino' including SPARC and Sierra.

The build errors seem to be so massive the ctest did not even try to submit test results or something since no test results are showing up on CDash.

Current status on CDash
